2nd Grade Funglish Time (July 12th, 2024)
Hello everyone. This week, again, we had Funglish Time. Today we talked with the 2nd grade students.
Once again, teachers from Takase and Nukabe Elementary Schools came to join our lesson.
We played Rock Paper Scissors Train again.
Then we had the Station Activity. This week we used leveled-up questions for the 2nd grade students' English skills. The students did a great job talking to teachers and each other.
Thank you for enjoying English conversation again this week!
Thank you for reading. See you next time!
1st Grade Funglish Time (July 4th, 2024)
Hello everyone. This year, once again, we are having Funglish Time at Minami JHS.
We have guest teachers from Takase Elemenary and Nukabe Elementary. They gave us self introductions.
Then, we played the Rock Paper Scissors Train game. Students play Rock Paper Scissors, ask each other English questions, and then form a train.
After that, we did a station activity. Each teacher asked students a different question. When they answer, they go to the next teacher.
The students spoke very well and we had a lot of fun! Next week, the 2nd grade students will do it, too.
Thank you for reading. See you next time!
Funglish Class (June 14th, 2024)
Hello everyone. Here is an update from our Funglish classes.
Today, the first grade classes practiced 命令文. "Wash your hands." "Don't run here."
We played a gesture game. Students did the gestures for a 命令文, and members of their group guessed and said the sentence.
Everyone did very well, gestures and saying English sentences. Nice!
Thank you for reading. See you next time.
Funglish Recess (June 12th, 2024)
Hello everyone. Here is an update on our Funglish activities.
We are enjoying Funglish during the 昼休み on Wednesday. Today we played a game from America called "Spin the Bottle." We spin a bottle in a circle and ask a question to the person who it points to.
Thank you to the students who came to play! Let's enjoy Funglish more every week.
Thank you for reading. See you next time!
Funglish Class (June 3rd, 2024)
Hello everyone. Now it's June, and it's getting hot like summer. Here is an update from Funglish class.
Today's post is about a 1st grade class. The 1st graders reviewed the phrase "What time is it?" The setting of this lesson is "talking to a friend in a foreign country." Students chose a foreign country and searched for the time, then had a conversation with partners.
We "traveled" to many cities today! Good job everyone.
Thank you for reading! See you next time.
